Małomice, Lubuskie

    

  Małomice

   Town situated in Lubuskie, Poland, by the river Bóbr. There are around 4,000 inhabitants. My name is Paula Ziębiec and I have been living here my whole life. Małomice really has a potential as a town and there are some attractions that I would like to present. I must admit that this town is small but still it is not a village, like some people can assume. Sometimes inhabitants of Małomice say that there is nothing interesting to do but I do not agree and I will prove that.

     As an ecotourism attraction I would like to present a lake and the area around it, which is being extended. Now it looks really impressive and I definitely recommend visiting this place. There are many things to do now. First of all, if you have a day off, the weather is nice and you have children,  there is no obstacle to take either a long walk or to ride a bike. We have an excellent route around the lake. You can both enjoy views and have a nice time. Here is a view of the Lake.

     Secondly, if you enjoy having a barbecue, I have got news for you, namely there is a perfect place which was designed for the barbecue lovers! This place is situated amongst trees and water. Sometimes, there are barbecues organised for inhabitants, especially during summer time. Everyone can join and spend time together. Here I attach a picture of this place. 

      Thirdly, are you a fan of water sports? If so, you have some options to choose from. There is a possibility of canoeing. You can also hire a pedalo, which costs 5zl per half hour. It is really fantastic and kids really like it. Here is also a possibility of playing water ball. 

 

      Next, I guess that you are interested whether there is a place for bathing or not. You will not be disappointed because the lake has been cleaned recently and now people have permission for swimming. There is a sandy space which is very convenient. If you like sunbathing it is a perfect place to do that. Parents do not have to bother about their children because  a life guard is hired here.

     To sum up, I recommend visiting Małomice for both young people and the old ones. You will find it really enjoyable, I am certain about that. Admittance is free for everyone! I would like to point out that there is a recreation ground for children which is completely new actually. This playground is intended both for small kids and the older ones. There are also loads of benches placed around the playground where parents can sit and look after their children and have some rest. All in all, Małomice is small but has a big potential as a recreation area, please check it out!
