Shortly about history:
The town exists since the 16th century but at the beginning it
was a part of the Czech Republic. Before Kudowa become a town, it was a small
village, orginally named by George of Podebrady, the king of Czech. The first
name of the village was Lipolitov. Since the mid-16th century the name changed
into Chudoba. In the 19th century the name changed again into Kudoba, later on Bad Kudowa and in 1945 into Kudowa-Zdrój.

Czermna is the oldest part of Kudowa Zdrój. In 1354 Czermna
was a separate village and what’s interesting, Czermna at that time was bigger
than Kudowa Zdrój. At present, Czermna
is just a district of Kudowa.

The route of vanishing professions
This place was found in 2001 and it’s located in Czermna. It’s
a farm with a mini-zoo, where you can observe how the traditional life looked
like in the past.
You can also learn how to make a bread in a special, very old
stove. You can make your own pots, jugs, bowls or whatever you want, with a
littlr help on a potter’s wheel. The route of vanishing professions often organizes
feasts around the open fire.
